Injection-Compression Sclerotherapy is a popular treatment for spider and varicose vein treatment .  The procedure involves injecting a sclerosing solution into the veins. This solution disperses and blocks the blood from the injected area. Treatment requires one to four sessions to achieve the desired results. The procedure does not cause any side effects, though some patients may experience bruising at the injection site. The bruising typically goes away after a few days or weeks but may remain visible for up to six weeks. While sclerotherapy can be used safely for small veins, the risks of the procedure are still high. The procedure is not suitable for everyone. It is not recommended for patients with associated arterial occlusive disease or for those who are medically high-risk for cardiovascular complications. Also, patients should not have ulcers in scleroderma or have an existing inflammatory condition. Generally, patients should consult with their doctor before opting for the
